HighLevel Updates: New Features for August 17-21, 2026

HighLevel's Aug 17-21 releases: Voice AI gap detection, scheduled Ask AI prompts, a new agency pricing page, and Claude and Gemini in workflows.

The third week of August 2026 focused on transparency and automation. Agencies got a searchable price list for every wallet-billed product, voice agents learned to report their own knowledge gaps, and the mobile assistant began running saved prompts on a schedule. Here is what shipped between August 17 and August 21, and why it matters.

Voice AI Reports Its Own Knowledge Gaps and Scales Outbound

Voice agents now feed knowledge base gap detection. Every caller question an agent could not answer is captured, grouped by topic and subtopic, and listed on the Knowledge gaps page, with near-identical questions merged into one row. The result reads as a ranked to-do list, and filling a gap once fixes it for the next call.

Outbound setup also moved into the workflow builder. The Voice AI Outbound Call drawer now carries the agent, the sending number, and an inline consent checkbox, with consent recorded once per location. The daily outbound ceiling rises from 1,000 to 5,000 calls per location on August 24, 2026. Agencies selling Voice AI retainers get both a tuning loop and room to scale it.

Ask AI Runs on a Schedule and Builds Email Templates

The mobile app added an Ask AI scheduler. Save a prompt once, pick manual, hourly, daily, weekdays, or weekly, and it runs without you opening the app. Tasks can be edited, paused, resumed, or triggered on demand, every run is logged as completed, skipped, or failed, and tapping a run opens the full conversation. Tasks sync both ways with the desktop scheduler.

Email AI also moved inside Ask AI. Generate a Design Editor template from a plain-language prompt, refine it conversationally, preview it in the chat panel, then open the draft in the full Email Builder. A morning briefing that writes itself and a newsletter drafted between calls take real busywork off a small team. HTML editor templates are not supported yet.

Billing Gets a Real Price List and Six Months of History

Billing now has a dedicated Pricing page listing pay-as-you-go rates for every wallet-billed product across AI, communication, WhatsApp, domains, and more. Products are grouped by category, searchable, and expandable to show SKU, billing unit, and country rates, with a selector covering 27 supported markets and enterprise pricing included. The page is enabled from Labs.

Wallet transaction history also doubled from three months to six on agency and sub-account dashboards, backed by a rebuilt pipeline for faster queries. Reconciling invoices and explaining charges to clients gets much easier, and you finally have hard numbers to set markup against published GoHighLevel plan pricing.

Funnels: Dynamic Text Replacement Without the Code

URL parameter text replacement got a native interface in the website and funnel builder. A URL Parameter option in the custom values picker inserts a token with a default value, a case transformation, and automatic separator cleanup. Tokens appear as clickable pills rather than hand-typed template syntax.

On the published page a visit carrying ?city=Austin renders Austin, and a missing parameter falls back to your default instead of printing blank. Hyphens from ad tracking parameters become spaces, so emergency-plumber prints as Emergency Plumber, and coverage now extends to button text alongside headings, paragraphs, lists, FAQs, and popups. For paid traffic teams this is message match at scale, worth weighing in any HighLevel versus ClickFunnels comparison.

Workflows: Value Chips, List Formatting, and New AI Models

Dynamic values in workflow text fields now render as chips. Type a forward slash to search and insert a custom value, click a chip to swap it in place, and red highlighting flags stale values. This is display only, so runtime behavior is unchanged.

The picker also handles list and array values such as order line items or webhook collections. Pick the field to extract and a format of comma-separated, bulleted, numbered, or a custom separator, with an empty-list fallback and a live preview.

The AI Agent action now supports Anthropic and Google models alongside OpenAI, including Claude Opus 5, Claude Sonnet 5, Gemini 3.6 Flash, and Gemini 3.1 Pro Preview. Low, medium, and high effort settings trade reasoning depth against speed, and with earlier token optimization the same task can run up to 50 percent cheaper.

Calendars: AI Setup, Class Attendees, and Free Bookings

Calendar AI lets new users describe their use case in plain language and generates the matching setup, including team routing, availability windows, meeting locations, and a live booking widget preview. In a controlled experiment across roughly 34,000 new locations per cohort, calendar creation rose 4.7 percent, bookings rose 9.1 percent, and median time to first booking fell from 6.90 to 6.18 days.

Class bookings gained per-attendee controls on mobile: change status, reschedule, open a contact record, or cancel one seat without touching the rest of the class, with live seat counts on calendar tiles. A new Collect Card on File toggle also separates card capture from free bookings, so a full-discount coupon no longer triggers a card prompt.

Ad Manager and Events Get Better Guardrails

Google and LinkedIn campaign validation now surfaces every issue at once rather than one at a time, with clearer messages and click-through navigation to the offending field. Google adds a pre-publish check across campaign fields and platform requirements, and Demand Gen campaigns can be uploaded to the Template Library as drafts for reuse across client locations.

Events picked up Meta Pixel support, mapping RSVP and ticketing milestones from page view through completed order with order value, currency, and ticket details, plus session-based deduplication. Organizers can also issue full or partial refunds from the event view, revenue reports net of coupons, and QR check-in can be limited by payment status.

Smaller Improvements Worth Noting

  • QR codes: passes now save to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet with agency branding, and existing codes work without being recreated.
  • Media storage: search is global across every folder depth, with hover paths and an open containing folder action.
  • Forms and surveys: a rebuilt custom fields sidebar adds object filtering, search, query keys, and bulk insertion of several fields at once.
  • Contact fields: a new Add operation appends to multi-select fields instead of replacing existing selections.
  • WhatsApp: the false reconnect prompt after the 24-hour window is fixed and settings load far faster. See our WhatsApp integration guide.
  • Sub-accounts: advanced filters now cover status, creation date, snapshots, HIPAA, plan tier, wallet balance, deliverability, and rebilling add-ons.
  • Local SEO: audit reports support up to three heatmaps, each with its own keyword, grid size, and radius.
  • SaaS billing: plan changes sync to sub-account subscriptions, lockout screens recognize a card on file, and SaaS V2 allows interval changes during upgrades.
  • In Labs: tag categories and colors for contacts, plus Pinterest post sync for Social Planner.

Frequently Asked Questions

When does the higher Voice AI outbound limit take effect?

The cap stays at 1,000 calls per day per location through August 23, 2026, then scales automatically to 5,000 on August 24. No action is required.

Do I need to do anything to get six months of wallet history?

No. The extended range is enabled automatically on all agency and sub-account billing dashboards. Use the month selector or custom date range picker to look further back.

Does the new workflow chip interface change how automations run?

No. Chips are a visual layer inside workflow text fields. Existing custom values are untouched and runtime rendering is unchanged.
