HighLevel Updates: New Features for September 1-5, 2025
The opening week of September 2025 delivered a broad release touching email infrastructure, messaging compliance, payments, page design and domain ownership. If you are still weighing the platform, our overview of what HighLevel actually does gives the wider picture. Here is what shipped.
Email Sending Gets Calendar Domains and Instant SMTP
Sub-accounts can now assign dedicated sending domains to Calendar category email, covering appointment confirmations, reminders and reschedules. Up to five domains are supported per category, with percentage based load distribution across them. The setting sits under sub-account Settings, Email Service, SMTP Service, Dedicated Domain and IP, then Domain Configuration.
SMTP approvals also became automatic. Instead of a manual support review, legitimate sub-accounts are approved immediately and can create their own credentials. For agencies onboarding several clients a month that is a real bottleneck gone, and separating booking mail from marketing mail protects the reputation of the domain that books revenue.
WhatsApp Verification and AI Written Templates
Meta Partner-Led Business Verification is now built in. Agencies upload documents and submit requests from the WhatsApp settings page, with live status shown as pending, approved or rejected and rejection reasons explained inline. The stated payoff is verification roughly forty percent faster, a jump from 250 to more than 1,000 daily conversations and up to twenty registered numbers.
Template creation picked up an AI option too. Choose AI Template, describe the use case such as a payment reminder, and get a draft classified as Utility, Marketing or Authentication with length, formatting and policy checks applied. Suggested merge variables are included and the draft stays editable before submission. Turnaround drops from days to hours, and better categorization avoids the delivery failures caused by submitting a marketing message as a utility one. Agencies running outreach on the built in WhatsApp channel get speed and a higher approval rate.
Voice AI and Conversations Hold Their Place
Voice AI agents now translate the initial greeting automatically when you change the agent language, so you no longer rewrite that opening line for every market you serve. Multilingual service businesses can stand up a voice agent per language without duplicating copywriting work.
In Conversations, the composer remembers the last selected channel when you collapse and reopen it, and internal comment drafts save automatically. Drafts survive channel switches and moves between conversations, so a half written note no longer disappears.
Payments Adds Xero Sync and Sharper Tax Math
The Xero integration went live as the most upvoted payments request on the ideas board. New or updated Xero contacts sync in, matching existing records by email or phone. Invoices sync one way, so invoices built in HighLevel appear in Xero immediately with name, number, taxes and live payment status. Tax rates map between both systems. Connect it under sub-account Settings, Integrations, Xero.
Tax rates now calculate and display to four decimal places, for example 7.1250 percent, while tax amounts still round to two decimals. That precision carries across invoices, estimates, subscriptions, transactions, checkouts and CSV exports, and it was validated against QuickBooks Online, Stripe and Shopify. Existing records are untouched, so only documents created after the change use the new logic.
Funnel and Form Builders Get Creative Control
The page builder gained background gradients and blur on sections, rows and columns. Gradients support up to ten colors across linear, radial and angular styles with a draggable slider, blur intensity is adjustable and background settings are split into Color, Image and Video tabs.
A new Forms and Surveys section also lives inside the funnel builder. Create a form in a pop-up builder, drag in an existing one through a form picker or start from prebuilt categories. Anything you create joins the main Forms and Surveys list automatically, and the section will reach website, webinar and store builders too. Forms, surveys and quizzes now auto-scroll to the first error on submit, with inline field level messages replacing the old bulk error list, which matters most on mobile. The gap against dedicated funnel tools is narrower than it was.
Domain Transfer-In Brings Registrars In House
Domains can now be transferred in from registrars such as GoDaddy and Namecheap, putting purchase, transfer, renewal, DNS management and billing in one workflow. Any sub-account with domain purchase enabled gets transfer-in automatically, otherwise switch it on under agency Settings, Company, Domain Purchase. The flow runs in five steps: enter the domain, check eligibility, review DNS records, finalize by unlocking the domain and supplying the authorization code, then approve at your registrar.
Existing renewal periods carry over with a year added, pricing is fixed and transferred domains connect straight into funnels, websites and email tools. Some extensions including .in, .co.uk and .tv are not supported yet.
Reusable Blocks for Documents and Contracts
A Content Library now sits inside the Documents and Contracts editor. Save a single block such as a signature table or a pricing card, or save an entire page, then drag saved items into any new document. Library items can be shared across locations. Proposal heavy agencies stop rebuilding the same terms and pricing sections for every client, and branding stays consistent.
Automatic Opt-Out Language for Long Threads
Text messaging compliance became automatic. Beyond the first outbound message, opt-out language and sender identification are now inserted into ongoing SMS and MMS conversations at an interval each sub-account sets between 1 and 60 days, defaulting to 30. Configure it under Settings, Messaging, SMS Compliance. It keeps you aligned with TCPA, CTIA, GDPR and CCPA expectations without anyone pasting compliance language into a live thread, and it helps messages clear carrier filtering.
Smaller Improvements Worth Noting
- Email templates can now be imported straight into the visual design editor rather than the code editor, so designs brought over from other platforms are editable without a developer.
- WordPress hosting subscriptions open with a setup guide covering site creation, imports, custom domain and SSL, activity logs and analytics.
- Uberall listings entities can connect Google Business Profile and Facebook directly, closing a gap that previously hid those cards.
- Google Business Profile optimization accepts WhatsApp and text message numbers, with text message taking priority when both are filled in.
- Agency admins can multi-select marketplace apps and apply one markup percentage in bulk to subscription pricing, usage based pricing or both.
- Product prices and variants highlight on hover and carry inline edit and delete buttons, reducing missed weight and dimension setup.
- Course imports from Kajabi now pull hidden lessons behind Show More buttons, invalid drip values are blocked and admins can toggle locked or unlocked lesson previews.
- The template library was redesigned with larger thumbnails, easier mobile previews, download counts and a grid or list toggle.
- Form, survey and quiz builders received full localization, and page preview thumbnails were improved.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to reconfigure anything for the new email domain settings?
No. Existing sending setups keep working. Calendar specific domains are an option you opt into per sub-account, and only apply to domains created there.
Will the four decimal tax change affect invoices I already sent?
No. Existing records stay as they were, and signed documents with pending invoices keep their original figures. Only records created after the update use four decimal rates.
Which of these features are still in beta?
Everything above is generally available. Items still in development, including WhatsApp calling inside the CRM and the new course checkout, are tracked in our HighLevel beta watch, and the full feature list shows what is live today.
