HighLevel Updates: New Features for October 5-9, 2026

AI Studio adds payments and a cloud backend, Conversation AI gets GPT-6.1 Sol and audit logs, plus tags for sub-accounts.

HighLevel shipped a dense set of releases between October 5 and October 9, 2026. AI Studio moved closer to a full application platform with payments, a managed backend and built in analytics. Conversation AI gained a new model and an audit trail, Voice AI picked up a newer real time model, and agencies got tags for sub-accounts. Wider context sits in our October 2026 HighLevel updates roundup.

Conversation AI Gains GPT-6.1 Sol and Audit Logs

GPT-6.1 Sol is now in the Conversation AI model dropdown. It hits 92.9% accuracy against 94.2% for GPT-6 Sol, matches its 2.33 second median reply time, handles its slowest replies about 11% faster and costs roughly 2% less per reply. Agent activity also lands in Audit Logs. When an agent is turned on, turned off, paused or reassigned you see what triggered it, whether a workflow, a booking, a human handover or a user edit, plus the timestamp and who made it. Filter the location log by Conversation AI Activity, or open Audit logs from a contact's details panel. Client facing teams can explain a silent agent without a support ticket.

Voice AI Speech to Speech Moves to Gemini 3.8 Live

Speech to speech Voice AI agents now support Gemini 3.8 Live, Google's generally available real time voice model, selectable in Agent Builder. It brings more natural speech, stronger reasoning on complex calls, better tool handling and a larger context window. Agents on Gemini 3.1 Flash Live Preview migrate automatically on November 2, since Google marked that preview model as legacy.

AI Studio Can Take Payments

Apps built in AI Studio can now sell. Open More then Payments to switch it on, flip between test and live mode and pick which catalog products the app may sell, at one fixed price, a chosen set of variations or the full catalog. Ask the agent to add payments and it builds a storefront and checkout. Checkout is hosted by the platform, so card details never touch app code, and it covers PayPal express, coupon codes, subscriptions and bot protection. One click post purchase upsells work with saved cards from most major processors. Payments needs a TanStack Start project; React projects migrate through Project Settings then Migrate to SSR.

AI Studio Gets a Native Cloud Backend

Open More then Cloud and HighLevel provisions a private backend for that project in about a minute, with a database, user accounts and file storage. The database view lists tables, row counts and row level security state, and you can add rows, edit a cell or ask the agent for a new table or policy. Daily backups snapshot schema and rows. User management covers signups, invitations and password rules, and storage uses public or private buckets. Database size starts free at Tiny and scales to X-Large at hourly pricing. For an agency, this removes the usual reason a client app gets handed to a developer.

AI Studio Analytics, Submissions and Domain Hub

Every published AI Studio site now measures itself with no tracking code. More then Analytics shows page views, unique visitors, opt-ins and opt-in rate against the previous period, plus top pages, time on page, traffic sources, devices and locations. A Form Submissions tab lists every lead with a link to the contact. Sites then Analytics puts projects beside your funnels and websites, and contacts keep their visit history. Domain Hub also adds an AI Studio card to Connect Domain, so DNS verification and project linking happen in one guided flow.

Location Wide Settings for Forms, Surveys and Quizzes

Six settings that used to be toggled one entity at a time now have a Settings tab on Forms, Surveys and Quizzes: create conversation on submission, generate submission document, sticky contact, save progress, enable timezone and use GDPR compliant font. Each shows how many entities already have it on, offers Enable all or Disable all for the whole location and allows per entity overrides. Client onboarding becomes one save instead of an afternoon of clicking.

Reporting and Calendar Notification Upgrades

The Lead Source Report finally answers which channel is making money. Any count above zero under Total leads, Open, Won, Lost or Abandoned opens the opportunities behind it. Monetary value shows for every status rather than the total alone, and missing sources now appear as N/A instead of vanishing. Recurring appointment notifications are consistent too: default series send one confirmation per booking instead of one per occurrence, and custom recurrences created in app now send confirmations, reminders, follow ups plus reschedule and cancellation notices.

Mobile Conversations and Sub-Account Tags

Internal comments now sit in the mobile composer at parity with web. Tap the comment icon beside the mic, mention a teammate with @, then post. Comments appear as amber bubbles visible only to your team, and one send button sends on a tap or schedules on a long press. Unread threads open at a New divider above the first unread message, and the rebuilt list scrolls at the display's full refresh rate. Sub-accounts also take tags: build labels for niche, service model, onboarding stage or account manager, filter and group by them with counts, then save a view as a smart list. Our guide for agencies shows how to use that structure.

Smaller Improvements Worth Noting

  • Real time A2P registration status: every number on a campaign shows Pending, Registered or Failed, and verified numbers carry an A2P Verified tag.
  • Clearer A2P rejection guidance: the required fixes modal now gives instructions specific to chat widget or manual registration.
  • Shopify data on Basic plans: Basic stores can enable customer and order sync. Legacy custom app connections need reconnecting through OAuth.
  • Community posting via public API: Social Planner endpoints list and validate Community members, so apps publish as the right person.
  • Countdown Timer public APIs: new endpoints for creating and managing timers outside the app.
  • German Voice AI course: a community course on models, voices, pricing, prompts, agent functions and phone setup.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to switch my Conversation AI agents to GPT-6.1 Sol?

No. Existing agents keep their current model until you change it. GPT-6.1 Sol suits accounts that want cheaper replies and faster handling of long conversations, since accuracy sits within a point of GPT-6 Sol. Voice agents on Gemini 3.1 Flash Live Preview move to Gemini 3.8 Live automatically on November 2.

Can I use AI Studio payments and Cloud on a project I already built?

Only if it runs on TanStack Start. A React project migrates first through Project Settings then Migrate to SSR, which creates an upgraded copy while the original stays live. Migrating does not switch Cloud on by itself, and your site stays as it is until you publish again.

Will sub-account tags change anything my clients can see?

No. Tags are an internal layer on the agency view of the sub-accounts list, and clients never see them. You can create, edit, bulk apply, delete and reassign them from the Sub-Accounts page, then filter or group to work through a whole segment at once.

Try These Features Yourself

This week rewards accounts that build client assets inside the platform instead of bolting separate tools together.
