GoHighLevel Review 2026: Pros, Cons, Pricing and Who It's For
Most GoHighLevel reviews fall into two camps: affiliates calling it the only software you'll ever need, and frustrated users who quit in week two. The truth sits in between. GoHighLevel replaces a lot of tools for the right business, and it overwhelms the wrong one.
This GoHighLevel review covers what the platform is, what it really costs once usage and add-ons are counted, the pros and cons, the AI features, support and integrations, who should (and shouldn't) use GoHighLevel in 2026 and how to decide if it's worth it for you.

GoHighLevel Review: The Quick Verdict
- Best for: marketing agencies managing several clients and service businesses that want CRM, SMS, email, booking, reviews and payments on one platform.
- Not ideal for: solo users who only need email marketing or a simple booking page and businesses that need deep industry software like an EMR, POS or MLS integration.
- Price: $97, $297 or $497 a month, plus usage for SMS, calls, email and AI.
- Biggest pro: it replaces several separate tools with one all-in-one system and one login per client.
- Biggest con: a real learning curve and usage-based pricing that makes the monthly bill harder to predict.

What Is GoHighLevel?
GoHighLevel, now usually just called HighLevel (or GHL), is an all-in-one sales and marketing platform. It started as a tool for marketing agencies and is now used by many small businesses directly. In one platform you get:
- CRM and pipelines: customer relationship management with contacts, opportunities and deal stages on a visual pipeline.
- Conversations: one inbox for SMS, email, calls, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and website chat.
- Funnel and website builder: a drag-and-drop builder for landing pages, sites, forms and surveys.
- Calendars and booking: appointment scheduling with automatic reminders.
- Workflows: marketing automation that reacts to forms, bookings, tags, payments and replies.
- Email marketing: campaigns, newsletters and automated sequences.
- Reputation management: review requests and replies from one place.
- Payments: invoices, estimates, payment links, subscriptions and documents with e-signature.
- AI: chat and voice agents, content creation and review replies.
- Memberships and courses: gated content and communities.
- Dashboard and reporting: a dashboard per account for leads, pipeline value and campaign results.
- Mobile app: the free LeadConnector app for iOS and Android, alongside the desktop web app.
Agencies get one more layer: a sub-account for each client, white-labeling under their own brand and, on the $497 plan, SaaS Mode to resell GoHighLevel as their own software. Our HighLevel feature guide covers every tool in more detail.
GoHighLevel Pricing in 2026: What It Really Costs
According to HighLevel's pricing page, there are three self-serve plans, all month to month with no long-term contract:
| Plan | Monthly | Annual | Key differences |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $97 | $970 | 3 sub-accounts, unlimited contacts, unlimited users, 24/7 support, all core features |
| Unlimited | $297 | $2,970 | Unlimited sub-accounts, rebill phone and email at cost, basic API access |
| $497 plan | $497 | $4,970 | Rebilling with markup, SaaS Mode, the full founder feature set |
A note on names: HighLevel's pricing page currently labels the $497 plan "Founder," while its FAQ still calls it the Pro plan (often called Agency Pro). It's the same tier, and it's the one with SaaS Mode. There's also a custom-priced Enterprise plan for large teams.
Usage-based pricing on top of the plan
This is where most surprise bills come from. SMS, calls, email and AI are billed by use through a wallet:
- Email: LC Email costs $0.675 per 1,000 emails, per HighLevel's LC Email guide.
- Phone and SMS: numbers, call minutes, text segments and carrier fees are billed per use. A US local number is $1.15 a month, per HighLevel's phone pricing guide.
- AI: pay as you go, or the AI Employee plans at $50 or $97 a month per sub-account (more on those below).
Agencies on the Unlimited or $497 plan can rebill these costs to clients, with a markup on the $497 plan.
Optional add-ons
The pricing page lists add-ons such as HIPAA compliance ($297 a month), a white-label mobile app ($497 a month), premium support ($500 a month), the branded client portal app ($49 a month per sub-account) and WordPress hosting from $10 a month per site. Most businesses don't need any of them to start.
Our GoHighLevel pricing guide breaks down which plan fits which business.
GoHighLevel Pros: What It Does Well
- One platform instead of a stack of tools. CRM, email marketing, SMS marketing, booking, funnels, reviews and payments in one place means fewer subscriptions and fewer broken integrations.
- Follow-up that runs itself. Missed-call text-back, form follow-ups, appointment reminders and review requests run automatically once a workflow is set up. For a service business, that's often the difference between a lead and a booking.
- One inbox for email and SMS. Texts, emails, calls and social messages land in the same conversation, so nothing gets lost between apps.
- Built for marketing agencies. Unlimited sub-accounts on the $297 plan, snapshots to copy a setup to new clients and white-label branding make it easy to serve many clients.
- Unlimited contacts and unlimited users. Flat pricing that doesn't climb as the list or the team grows, unlike CRMs that charge per seat or per contact.
- Fast development. HighLevel ships new features almost every week, and AI features in particular have grown quickly.
- No long contract. Month-to-month billing, and you can upgrade, downgrade or cancel from the dashboard.
GoHighLevel Cons: Where It Falls Short
- The learning curve is real. There are a lot of settings. Expect a few weeks before GoHighLevel feels natural, and plan to start with one or two automations, not twenty.
- The bill is harder to predict. Usage for SMS, calls, email and AI sits on top of the plan price.
- The interface keeps changing. Fast releases mean menus move and tutorials go out of date.
- Some industries need more. HighLevel isn't an EMR, a full POS, an MLS system or a dealership management system. Those businesses use it alongside their core software.
- Customer support quality varies. 24/7 support is included, but complex issues can take a few rounds. Premium support is a paid add-on.
- Setup work is on you. A good snapshot or playbook helps, but someone still has to connect the domain, register for texting and build the workflows.
We cover each of these in more depth in GoHighLevel's disadvantages.

GoHighLevel's AI Features
AI is the fastest-growing part of the platform. HighLevel groups its AI tools as the AI Employee, sold in two plans per sub-account, according to its AI pricing guide:
- Growth ($50 a month): 1,000 Conversation AI responses and 100 Voice AI minutes a month, plus Reviews AI and Content AI under fair use.
- Unlimited ($97 a month): Conversation AI and Voice AI under fair use, plus Reviews AI and Content AI.
What the main AI tools do:
- Conversation AI: replies to chat, SMS and social messages, answers questions and books appointments.
- Voice AI: answers phone calls, collects details and books or transfers calls. Our guide to Voice AI for local businesses shows it in action.
- Reviews AI: drafts replies to reviews.
- Content AI: writes emails, social posts and blog drafts.
- Funnel and website AI, Workflow AI: help build pages and automation from a description.
The AI tools are useful, but they need setup: a knowledge base, clear instructions and testing before they talk to real customers.
Customer Support, Integrations and the Mobile App
- Customer support: every plan includes 24/7 support. Premium support costs $500 a month, and Enterprise includes a dedicated success manager.
- Learning resources: HighLevel runs free training, weekly town halls, workshops and a large help center. Our guide to free HighLevel training lists them.
- Integrations: payments through Stripe and other processors, Google and Facebook accounts, QuickBooks and more. Our integrations guide covers what connects and how.
- API: basic API access on the Unlimited plan, with more on higher tiers.
- Mobile app and desktop: the free LeadConnector app handles conversations, calendars, contacts and payments on the go, and agencies can brand the desktop app with their own domain.
What About Other GoHighLevel Reviews?
When you read HighLevel reviews online, keep two things in mind:
- Many are written by affiliates, including this one. That doesn't make them wrong, but look for reviews that name real downsides and real prices.
- Software review sites like G2 and Capterra collect user reviews from verified users. Read the negative reviews too, and check how recent they are, since the platform changes fast.
The best review is your own test. A free trial with one clear goal tells you more than any article.
Who Should Use GoHighLevel?
Marketing agencies
This is HighLevel's home turf. If you manage marketing for several local businesses, the Unlimited plan gives each client a sub-account, and snapshots let you roll out a proven setup in minutes. The $497 plan adds SaaS Mode, so you can sell the platform under your own brand.
Local service businesses
Dentists, contractors, med spas, gyms and home service companies get the most from the follow-up tools: missed-call text-back, reminders, reviews and estimates. The Starter plan is usually enough for a single business.
Coaches and course creators
Funnels, memberships, calendars and payments cover most of what a coach or course creator needs, though dedicated course platforms offer more design options.
Who should skip it
- Anyone who only needs one tool, like email marketing or a booking page.
- Teams that won't spend time on setup and don't have an agency to do it for them.
- Businesses whose main software (EMR, POS, MLS) must stay at the center of everything.
If you're new to this kind of marketing software, our post on whether HighLevel is good for beginners is a good next read.
Is GoHighLevel Worth It? How to Decide
A simple ROI check: add up what you pay today for the tools GoHighLevel would replace (CRM, email marketing, SMS, booking, funnel builder, review software), then estimate what one extra booked job or client is worth to you. If the platform replaces a few subscriptions or wins back even a handful of missed leads a month, the Starter plan usually pays for itself. If it would sit next to tools you're keeping anyway, it's harder to justify.
Three questions help you decide:
- Will you use the follow-up tools? GoHighLevel's value comes from automation. If you won't set up workflows, a simpler CRM is cheaper.
- Do you have time to learn it, or someone to set it up? Budget a few weeks, or work with an agency that already knows it.
- Do you serve several clients or locations? If yes, the sub-accounts and snapshots are where GoHighLevel pulls far ahead of single-business tools.
