HighLevel Updates: New Features for August 25-29, 2025
HighLevel shipped a heavy batch of updates in the last week of August 2025, touching analytics, messaging, calendars, payments and artificial intelligence. Here is what changed and what it means for agencies and small businesses. If the platform is new to you, our overview of what HighLevel does is a good place to start.
Blog Analytics Lands in the Analytics Module
Blog statistics now live inside the Analytics module. The overview reports total page views, published blog sites and published posts, then plots page view trends across any date range. Deeper panels cover top performing posts, link click tracking, a device breakdown and visits split by category.
For an agency selling content retainers this turns a vague deliverable into a reportable one, because you can show a client which articles earn attention and which links get clicked.
WhatsApp Interactive Messages and List Menus
WhatsApp messaging now supports interactive formats: list menus of up to ten rows, up to three reply buttons, pinned locations and shared contacts. Each format can be saved into templates, and interactive replies trigger workflow branches, so a single tap routes a contact down its own automation path with no free text parsing.
Button and list replies bill as business initiated conversations, customer taps cost nothing extra and the twenty four hour window is unchanged. Note two limits: one list or three buttons per message, and some interactive types are not supported in broadcast campaigns. Teams running booking or support flows over WhatsApp can cut typos and drop offs by replacing typed replies with taps.
Calendars Add Payments, Coupons and Timezone Choice
A Payments tab now sits inside the appointment modal, showing amount paid, remaining balance, total, attendee level summaries, transactions and any coupon applied. If a balance is due you can charge a card or record a manual payment without leaving the appointment. Coupon codes arrive alongside it, percentage based or fixed amount, with usage caps and restrictions to specific calendars or products. Both ship through Labs for now.
Appointment viewing is also no longer locked to user or business time. A per user setting under Calendar Settings then Preferences displays appointments in any timezone across calendar view, appointment lists, contacts and conversations, without touching your availability. Services (v2) went live for all users in the same release.
Documents Move to SMS and Gain a Decline Path
Contracts can now be delivered by text. Send by SMS alone or pair it with email, set global notification defaults and write reusable SMS copy as snippets. Email gets ignored while a text gets read within minutes, so this is a straightforward lift on signature rates.
Recipients also gained the ability to decline. Declining creates a new status, captures preset reasons or free form notes, archives the document so it can no longer be signed and logs who declined and why. Declined works as a workflow trigger and the email builder exposes custom values for the reasons, turning a silent dead deal into data you can automate against.
AI Credits Removed, Plus New Voice and Conversation Tools
AI credits are gone. The AI chatbot, custom code AI, email AI, SMS AI and the Labs feature for building workflows with AI are now unlimited, governed only by a fair usage policy that resets every twenty four hours. For small teams that rationed usage, drafting copy becomes a habit instead of a budget line.
Voice AI agents can be tested through a browser call, so buying a phone number just to try an agent is unnecessary. Voice AI APIs also went public, covering agent and action management, call log retrieval plus webhooks that push outcomes into your own systems, so anyone building on Voice AI can automate setup instead of clicking through it.
Conversation AI picked up a consolidated dashboard covering every agent, filterable by date range, channel and agent. Form based bots now vary their phrasing question to question, and auto follow ups can run on the contact's timezone rather than the business timezone. The wider AI toolset is worth reviewing if you automate first response.
Agency, SaaS and Ecommerce Upgrades
Agencies can bundle Marketplace apps into SaaS plans, picking a tier for each and adding up to ten apps per plan. Bundled apps install automatically when a sub account is created on that plan, and the agency chooses whether to absorb the cost or raise the plan price. This is the clearest new lever for lifting revenue per client without building software yourself, a theme our agency resources cover in depth. Brand boards can now travel inside snapshots, so the design kit and brand voice are not rebuilt by hand for every location.
On the store side, custom product detail pages let you build a dedicated landing page for a single product in the site builder, which gives a flagship offer far more room to sell than a standard product template.
Mobile Pipelines and Phone System Changes
The mobile opportunities view was rebuilt. Cards can be customized from more than forty fields, with up to four custom fields shown alongside name, value and owner, and quick actions such as call, message, tag or stage change fire straight from the card. The change applies to the mobile app only and it does reset existing card layouts.
On telephony, numbers already registered for A2P are being enrolled automatically in SHAKEN/STIR call authentication, and the incoming call timeout setting now warns you when the value sits outside a healthy range. Above twenty seconds calls tend to land in carrier voicemail and get logged as completed, while below fifteen seconds they may barely ring. One compliance note: from September 1, 2025 Texas treats marketing SMS and MMS under its telemarketing law, which can mean state registration, a bond, a send window of 8am to 9pm recipient time and documented opt in consent.
Smaller Improvements Worth Noting
- True zero padding in forms, surveys and quizzes, plus per element label alignment in single column layouts.
- Email builder moved preview to the top bar and added a count badge on the attachment icon.
- Social planner approvers can reschedule a post while approving it.
- Communities posts open full screen on the web, which loads faster and lets search engines crawl them.
- Domains and URL redirects merged into a single tab, with existing redirects preserved.
- Subscription pages now show card brand, last four digits, expiry plus cancellation and payment count details.
- Marketplace reviews no longer require written text and are limited to one per installation.
- Developer tooling gained a JavaScript SDK on NPM that automates OAuth 2.0, plus rebuilt API documentation.
- Prospecting audit reports improved chat widget detection, tech stack detection and PDF export reliability.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I still need to track AI credits?
No. Credits were removed entirely, so the AI chatbot, custom code AI, email AI and SMS AI run without a balance. A fair usage policy applies and any daily ceiling resets within twenty four hours.
Are the new calendar payment features available in every account?
Not yet. The Payments tab and calendar coupon codes both ship through Labs, so an agency admin enables them for sub accounts first. They work across calendar types and Services (v2), but not for bookings made through the older service menu. We track what is still in testing on our HighLevel beta watch page.
Do WhatsApp interactive messages cost more to send?
Button and list replies bill as business initiated conversations under standard WhatsApp pricing. A customer tapping a button or picking a list item costs nothing extra, and replies inside the open twenty four hour window remain free.
