HighLevel Updates: New Features for Sep 28-Oct 2, 2026

Managed Agents get an API endpoint, Voice AI flows build themselves, Ask AI creates funnels and Meta budgets gain campaign control.

The last week of September 2026 and the start of October brought a developer heavy set of releases. Managed Agents became callable from outside the platform, Voice AI switched to an AI first build flow, and Ask AI picked up the ability to generate complete funnels on request. Here is what shipped, alongside the wider September 2026 update roundup and the running October 2026 update roundup.

Managed Agents Can Now Run From Your Own Software

Any published Managed Agent can become an API endpoint through a new Invoked via API trigger, also reachable as Deploy to API from the agent menu. Pick or create a Private Integration token inside the builder, then copy a ready made cURL, Python or JavaScript snippet. Starting a conversation returns a session ID you pass back to continue the thread, and every request carries an idempotency key so a retried call never runs the agent twice.

That removes the need to wrap an agent in a workflow or custom middleware. Only sub-account admins can create tokens, and unpublishing an agent makes calls return a 404.

Voice AI Flow Builder Now Starts With AI

Every new flow based Voice AI agent opens with Build with AI. Describe the job in plain language or pick a starter such as Business FAQ Assistant, Front Desk Receptionist, Lead Qualification, Post-Call Automation or SMS Follow-Up, and the flow is generated straight onto the canvas. A dictate option lets you speak instructions instead of typing, and Review mode lets you inspect the result, adjust it through conversation or reset the prompt before applying it.

The canvas was refreshed with cleaner navigation and stronger graph validation, and Create by yourself still opens a blank canvas. Agents deploy to phone numbers, the chat widget or both, which pulls Voice AI setup down from hours to minutes.

Ask AI Builds Funnels and Websites While You Watch

Funnel AI is now wired into Ask AI. One message, such as a request for a lead generation funnel for a dental practice, produces a working funnel, website or landing page inside the conversation. Vague requests trigger a short planning step where Ask AI confirms the business type and goal, then shows a plan for approval. Generation usually takes two to four minutes, and Edit in Builder opens the finished page for normal editing on your own domain.

The output is a standard funnel, so publishing, domains, tracking and workflows behave as usual. This release is create only, access depends on the Funnel and website AI permission, and requests sent through WhatsApp currently produce blank funnels while a fix is in progress. For teams weighing a move off a standalone page builder, that changes the math on funnel building costs.

Pixel Precise Canvas Previews

The funnel and website builder also gained a device width field beside the device switcher. Enter a pixel width, press Apply, and the canvas resizes inside the supported range: 1025 to 3000 px on desktop, 768 to 1024 px on tablet and 320 to 767 px on mobile. Widths are preview only and never touch published pages.

Meta Campaign Budgets Gain Campaign Level Control

Ad Manager now lets advertisers decide where a Meta campaign budget lives. Set one campaign budget and let Meta distribute spend across ad sets, or keep ad set budgets and manage each one individually. Ad set budgets can optionally share up to 20 percent of spend with other eligible ad sets, so you keep granular control while letting Meta shift money toward better performing opportunities. Daily and lifetime budgets are both supported, with highest volume and cost per result goal bid strategies.

Budget setup can be changed after publishing, although Meta may temporarily restrict further edits. Inline guidance in the builder should cut costly misconfigurations for small teams buying their own media.

Snapshots Now Carry Company and Custom Object Smart Lists

Company and Custom Object smart lists are officially supported inside account snapshots. Build a segment once, such as companies filtered by industry or policies approaching renewal, then deploy it to every sub-account you launch. Existing snapshots can be refreshed to pick up new smart lists.

Snapshots carry the configuration rather than the records, so each destination evaluates its own data. Include the custom objects and fields the filters reference. For agencies running vertical specific builds, this removes one of the last manual steps in client onboarding.

Mobile Calling From a Number You Already Own

The mobile app can place voice calls from a verified personal or business number without buying a platform number first. Open the call dialer, tap Select call from, pick the number with the verified badge, and the contact sees a caller ID they recognize.

It is live on version 4.25.0 and above of both the main and LeadConnector apps, with self serve availability for white labelled apps. For a new sub-account, it takes a purchase decision out of day one setup.

AI Invoice Layouts Arrive in Labs

Layout AI Builder is live as a Labs feature. Describe the layout you want, for example a two column invoice with the logo top left, an itemized table in the middle and payment terms at the bottom, and AI builds it. You can also upload or describe an existing invoice and have it rebuilt. Every AI change creates a restore point, and the visual builder handles manual edits.

Published layouts can be selected when creating an invoice and appear in the preview customers see. A layout locks once an invoice is sent or partially paid. Activate the feature under Settings, Labs, Sub-Account by searching for AI-Powered Custom Invoice Layouts.

Smaller Improvements Worth Noting

  • Marketplace API CLI v1.0.0: JSON schemas generate on every pull for app, webhook, workflow and billing configurations, workflow actions can be written in type checked TypeScript, and pull pauses on conflicts instead of overwriting local edits. Requires Node.js 20.12 or newer.
  • Custom field option deletion: Dropdown, multi-select, radio and checkbox options can be deleted on Custom Objects and Companies, with an affected record count shown first. Existing records keep the value.
  • Official app on Muse by Meta: Connect through OAuth, choose sub-accounts and approve scopes to reach more than 600 operations across 38 CRM domains through four unified tools.
  • Granular community unsubscribes: Members can opt out of one notification type in one community instead of every platform email, and can switch it back on from notification settings.
  • Mexico local numbers: An SMS unavailable pill now appears in the phone numbers table after an upstream carrier migration removed SMS from these numbers. Voice and WhatsApp still work.
  • On the way: Chat widget support in AI Studio plus voice intelligence covering call summaries, call quality and field extraction are flagged as coming soon.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to use AI to build a Voice AI agent now?

No. Build with AI is the default entry point for new flow based agents, but Create by yourself still opens the classic blank canvas.

Can Ask AI edit a funnel it already created?

Not in this release, which is create only. Once the funnel exists, click Edit in Builder and work in the funnel builder as normal. Requests sent through WhatsApp also produce blank funnels until the reported fix ships.

Does the Managed Agents API work on an unpublished agent?

No. Setup cannot be saved until the agent is published, and unpublishing makes API calls return a 404. The endpoint always runs the published version, so the builder matches production.
