HighLevel Updates: New Features for August 4-8, 2025

GPT-5 in workflows, zero-markup AI pricing, WhatsApp trigger link buttons, ten new review platforms and Uberall listings support.

The first full week of August 2025 brought a same-week GPT-5 rollout and a rewrite of how automation and AI usage are billed. Reputation tools reached ten more review sites, local listings gained a second engine, and the page and email builders picked up practical fixes. Here is what shipped between August 4 and August 8, 2025, and what it means for agencies and small businesses.

GPT-5 Model Support Lands in Workflows

The GPT action now offers GPT-5, GPT-5 Mini and GPT-5 Nano. Click the plus icon in a workflow, search for the GPT action powered by OpenAI, then pick a model in the settings. New steps default to GPT-5 Mini.

Rates pass straight through from OpenAI: $1.25 per million input tokens and $10.00 per million output tokens for GPT-5, $0.25 and $2.00 for Mini, $0.05 and $0.40 for Nano. At Nano rates, high-frequency automations are cheap enough to leave running on every inbound contact. Our AI feature guide covers these actions, and the platform AI overview lists the wider toolset.

Workflow Charges Split Into Two Clear Categories

The GPT action moved from fixed per-execution pricing to token-based billing with no markup, charged on input tokens, output tokens and the model chosen. Ten dollars of GPT-4o budget covers roughly three million input words or 750,000 output words, and on GPT-4o Mini the same amount stretches to about 50 million input words or 12.5 million output words.

Paid actions now sit in two buckets. Workflow Premium Features charges a flat $0.01 per execution and absorbs the AI actions Translate Content, Summarize Text, Decision Maker and Intent Detection alongside Copy Contact and Custom Webhook. Workflow External AI Models holds the GPT action at provider rates. Both toggle per sub-account, with resale markup set in the SaaS configurator, which makes client quotes far easier to defend.

Version two WhatsApp templates accept trigger links as buttons. A tap registers like any email or text click, and workflows branch on which link was pressed. Buttons are capped at two per message, counting trigger links and standard buttons together.

Engagement on WhatsApp can finally be scored as precisely as other channels, with follow-up routed by the offer a contact actually clicked. See our WhatsApp guide and the official WhatsApp page.

Reputation Tools Reach Ten More Review Sites

Reputation Management added Doordash, UberEats, the Better Business Bureau, WeddingWire, The Knot, Thumbtack, TrustRadius, Yell, GoodReads and Caring.com under Reputation, Settings, Integrations. Reviews from those sources feed the same dashboard, the request flows over email, text and WhatsApp, and the review widget.

Request emails can carry several review links at once, each with custom anchor text, reorderable and removable, with a specific Google Business Profile page selectable when a client has more than one. Recurring text requests gained custom templates with merge fields and per-contact dynamic image URLs. For a client with reviews scattered across five sites, that replaces a manual chase with one sequence. Our reputation software guide has the wider workflow.

Marketing Audits Get Honest Reputation Scores

The online reputation block in marketing audit reports was rebuilt so a few five-star reviews can no longer yield a perfect score. Scoring weighs volume alongside ratings, counts recent reviews rather than lifetime totals, weights Google at 75 percent and Facebook at 25 percent, and adjusts for confidence per platform. Donut charts, volume tags, a visible sample size and defined empty, loading and error states round it out. Audit reports built this way are much harder for a prospect to wave away.

Uberall Joins Yext as a Local Listings Engine

Agencies can now choose Uberall or Yext to power local listings. Selection happens at agency level on the reselling page, behind a side-by-side comparison and an acknowledgement checkbox, and can be revisited at any time. The choice applies to new business entity subscriptions across every sub-account.

Only owners and admins can set the engine. Sub-accounts subscribe entities but cannot change the provider, and they see a fully white-labeled listings interface with no engine branding. Two providers to price against is genuine leverage for anyone reselling listings at scale. See our online listings guide.

Builder Upgrades Across Funnels, Websites and Email

Page builder buttons take an icon color independent of text and subtext, drawn from the color picker including brand board colors. Global sections gained a search field that filters by full or partial name as you type, which pays off in workspaces holding dozens of saved blocks.

In the email builder, a sender preferences panel stores a default sender name, address, test recipients and reply-to, then auto-fills them for tests and campaigns. Campaign scheduling blocks an end time earlier than the start time and disables sending until it is fixed. Bold can be removed from H1 through H4 headings, conditional blocks now evaluate correctly against empty or undefined fields, and snapshots hide imported email action templates from target location lists.

Agency Operations: Domains, App Billing and WordPress

Domain purchases suggest up to three related extensions with the combined cost shown before checkout, and existing domains display a brand protection banner offering the same. Locking down the .net and .org variants of a client brand is a small upsell most agencies never get around to offering manually.

Usage-based pricing left private beta on the app marketplace, so developers can charge per execution, per inbound or outbound conversation message, or per custom event through the billing APIs, and agencies can mark that up and rebill it. New WordPress sites also arrive with the LeadConnector plugin preinstalled, with connected, disconnected, installed and update-available states shown on the dashboard.

Smaller Improvements Worth Noting

  • Community channels show unread post counts, and chat search latency fell about 90 percent to a steady 300 milliseconds.
  • Community fixes covered double payments on group joins, daylight saving conflicts, event locations hidden from admins, multi-day recurring events and duplicate chat messages.
  • Browsing gained double-click to open featured listings, drag-scroll carousels, pinnable courses in the sidebar and comma separators on large numbers.
  • Credential preview pages added one-click adding to a LinkedIn profile, grouped sharing icons and clearer issuer and expiry details.
  • An eight-module funnel building course was added to the university tab for existing offer grantees.
  • Forwarded emails are now charged per email at sub-account level where rebilling is enabled, with billing source and trigger identifiers in notifications.
  • Client portal branded apps gained setup call scheduling, a cancelled subscription screen, resubscription handling and cancellation reason capture.
  • Labs adds local presence dialing, which calls from a number local to the contact, plus custom font uploads in the builder.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is the GPT action in workflows priced now?

By tokens, with no markup, based on input tokens consumed, output tokens generated and the model chosen. Other premium workflow actions stay at a flat $0.01 per execution.

How many buttons can a WhatsApp template carry?

Two per message in total, counting trigger link buttons and standard buttons together, so either two tracked links or one tracked link plus a quick reply.

Can an agency change its local listings engine later?

Yes. It is set at agency level on the reselling page and can be changed at any time, though changes apply to new business entity subscriptions going forward. Only owners and admins can switch it.
