HighLevel Updates: New Features for Dec 29-Jan 2, 2026
The final week of 2025 capped a year of more than 1,200 platform releases. Prospecting picked up deal tracking, the agency dashboard changed how it calculates revenue, the SaaS Configurator started showing add-on costs before you commit, and AI agents learned to write in your brand voice. Here is what changed and why it matters for agencies and small businesses.
Prospecting Now Closes the Loop on Outreach
Every prospect carries a status. Open is the default, and users can move a record to Closed Won or Closed Lost directly from the prospect card. Marking a lead Closed Won unlocks a Create Sub-Account action inside agency prospecting, so a signed client goes from list entry to live account without leaving the tool.
A new status filter covers Open, Closed Won, Closed Lost, Sub-Account Created and Sub-Account Not Created, so you can see at a glance which leads need follow up and which wins still need onboarding. Agencies tracking outreach in a spreadsheet can retire it. The change is live across agency and sub-account prospecting with no migration required.
New users also get a Getting Started card covering the first prospect, report generation and sharing, CRM handoff, lead capture and AI discovery. It hides once the account is active and can be dismissed.
Agency Dashboard Revenue Math Gets Stricter
The Summary tab now calculates revenue and monthly recurring revenue exclusively from platform-backed sources: SaaS, reselling and rebilling. The Total Revenue (Last Month) and Monthly Recurring Revenue cards both use the refined logic, and the growth rate chart was updated to match, so the chart and the headline cards agree.
Revenue Distribution (Last Month) splits the total across those same three streams, showing whether growth comes from plan subscriptions, resold products or usage rebilling. Expect figures to differ from earlier views, since less reliable inputs no longer count. Customer-count metrics were untouched and are queued for a later update. A recurring revenue calculator pairs well with the new breakdown.
SaaS Configurator Shows the Real Cost of Included Add-Ons
Paid add-ons bundled into a SaaS plan, such as WordPress, WhatsApp, Yext and Ad Manager, deploy directly, which means the agency pays for them rather than the sub-account. The Add-Ons section now carries a far more prominent warning stating that billing behavior plainly and telling agencies to price accordingly.
More useful is the dynamic calculator. As you select paid add-ons, it totals the monthly cost per subscriber and the amount billed to the agency in real time, so you can set plan pricing with the margin visible. It applies to every plan create and edit flow, and billing logic itself did not change, only the visibility.
Agent Studio Writes in Your Brand Voice
Agent Studio nodes can apply a saved Brand Voice and Brand Kit to generated output. Text picks up your messaging and communication style, images and video follow your visual identity, and audio generation reflects the same brand personality.
Selection happens through a dropdown on the node, with options to create a new brand on the spot, apply different brands to different nodes, or use none for generic content. Settings sync from the Brand Board, so a rebrand does not mean editing every workflow by hand. For agencies running AI content production across several clients, that is the difference between checking every asset and trusting it.
WhatsApp Templates Pull From the Media Library
Header media on WhatsApp templates no longer has to come off your computer. The template builder offers two choices, upload from computer or choose from the media library, which opens in a drawer and filters assets by the header type selected: image, video or document.
That removes the download-then-reupload cycle for brand assets already stored once, and it works when creating or updating templates. Supported file types are mp4, pdf, png and jpg. Teams building WhatsApp campaigns at volume feel this immediately, and our WhatsApp channel overview covers the wider setup.
Call Dispositions Land on Mobile
Custom dispositions are available in the mobile apps on iOS and Android. Reps pick an outcome on the call end screen or from the post-call view, choosing a single definitive result per call so reporting stays clean.
Those outcomes feed automation exactly as the web version does: add the Custom Disposition filter to a workflow trigger or condition and a logged result can send a follow up, create a task or move a deal. The list only appears when the selected sub-account matches the location of the call, and a Switch prompt handles the mismatch. It requires mobile app version 4.5.0 or higher across the HighLevel, LeadConnector and white-label apps.
Chat Widget Sounds and Faster Builder Editing
The live chat widget plays notification sounds for much more than agent replies. Chat intro messages, acknowledgements, outside-hours welcome messages, the subheading greeting for new visitors, contact detail requests and post-submission redirect messages all trigger a sound. All of it stays under the single Notification Sound toggle in Chat Window Additional Options, on by default and set per widget.
Separately, the form, survey and quiz builders moved side-tray controls behind a dedicated settings icon that appears once you drag an element onto the canvas. Closing the tray keeps your selection intact, which makes inline editing on small screens workable.
Smaller Improvements Worth Noting
- External tracking for custom fields was improved to detect, capture and map fields more reliably.
- Stability work landed across SaaS sub-account creation, subscription lifecycle handling, user data consistency and suspension behavior.
- A six-lesson SaaS Mode course covering configurator setup and plan selection was added to the University Community Learning tab.
- A Template Library search overhaul and an ecommerce revamp were both flagged as coming soon.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why do my agency dashboard revenue numbers look different now?
Revenue and monthly recurring revenue are calculated only from SaaS, reselling and rebilling activity inside the platform. Anything outside those sources no longer counts toward the Total Revenue and MRR cards or the growth rate chart, so earlier comparisons may shift. Customer-count metrics were not part of this change.
Who pays for add-ons included in a SaaS plan?
The agency does. Add-ons bundled into a plan deploy directly, so the cost is billed to the agency rather than the sub-account. The calculator in the SaaS Configurator shows the monthly total per subscriber as you select them, so you can build that into your plan price.
Do mobile call dispositions work with workflows?
Yes. A disposition logged from the mobile call end screen works with the Custom Disposition filter in workflow triggers and conditions, the same as one logged on the web. Your selected sub-account has to match the location of the call for the list to appear.
