HighLevel Updates: New Features for January 26-30, 2026
The final week of January 2026 leaned toward revenue plumbing. Online stores picked up native automation triggers, AI bots lost an artificial message ceiling, social reporting learned to follow the click, and text message registration gained an AI reviewer. Here is what shipped between January 26 and January 30, and why it matters for agencies and small businesses. The full month lives in our January 2026 HighLevel updates roundup.
Ecommerce Stores Gain Three New Workflow Triggers
A new Ecommerce Stores category in the workflow builder carries three triggers. Abandoned Checkout fires when a shopper adds items and provides an email but does not pay within a window you set in minutes, filtered by cart value, country, selected products, and order source. Product Review Submitted fires the moment a review posts, with filters for star rating, headline, comment text, store, reviewer name, and email. Order Fulfilled fires on fulfillment, including events reported by shipping integrations such as Shippo and ShipStation, with filters for cart value, products, carrier, and tracking number.
One trigger set now covers native stores and external platforms such as Shopify through an order source and sub source selection, so cart recovery, review follow ups, and delivery updates no longer need duplicate builds. The older Shopify Abandoned Cart and Shopify Order Fulfilled triggers are labeled deprecating soon and keep working for existing workflows.
Conversation AI Bots Can Send 100 Messages
The per conversation message cap rose from 25 to 100 for both prompt based and form based bots, configurable from 1 to 100 in bot settings. Bots were hitting the old ceiling across more than 5,000 contacts a day, stopping conversations mid thread and forcing a person to step in. Longer qualification scripts, multi step booking flows, and detailed support threads can now finish on their own. Our guide to AI features covers where these bots fit.
Social Planner Tracks Link Clicks and Campaign Attribution
Statistics previously stopped at post metrics. A new URL Tracking view adds total clicks on shared links, a breakdown by network, trends over time, and campaign level grouping so every post using the same link rolls up together, with filters for platform and time range. Add a link and a campaign name when building the post, then read results under Marketing, Social Planner, Statistics, URL Tracking.
Two reporting gaps also closed. Instagram accounts connected by Direct Login now report posts, likes, comments, impressions, and engagement trends. New dashboard widgets surface aggregated social metrics such as posts, likes, shares, impressions, reach, and followers, filterable by platform, account, and date range. Client reporting gets cheaper when attribution stops living in spreadsheets and third party trackers. Post level metadata is not in the widgets yet.
A2P Registration Gets an AI Compliance Review
Text message campaigns are usually rejected for the same few reasons: a weak opt in form, a missing privacy policy, or incomplete terms of service. A new AI powered review scans the opt in URL you submit, retrieves the linked policy and terms, and checks all three against carrier, CTIA, and TCR criteria before the application leaves the platform.
The review opens automatically in the submission flow, counts criteria passed per document, explains failures line by line, and blocks submission until it completes, though you can proceed at your own risk with items flagged. It covers website form and Facebook lead form opt in methods, and it does not guarantee approval. Catching a broken opt in page before a rejection saves days on every client onboarding.
Google Demand Gen Campaigns Arrive in Ad Manager
Demand Gen joins Search as a Google campaign objective, replacing the need to run Discovery, YouTube, and Gmail campaigns separately. Ads serve across YouTube in feed, in stream, and Shorts placements, the Discover feed, the Gmail Promotions tab, the Display Network, and Google partner surfaces. Goals cover conversions with optional target CPA, clicks with optional target CPC, and YouTube engagements, which require video ads.
Setup covers daily or lifetime budgets, scheduling by day and time, and ad group targeting for location, language, placements, and audiences, including in market, remarketing, and lookalike segments built in the campaign builder. Formats span single image ads with up to 20 images and 5 logos, video ads with up to 5 YouTube links, and carousels of 2 to 10 cards, each with a live preview before publishing.
Language Preference Now Follows the User
Login and other signed out pages can be switched to a chosen language, and the choice survives logout rather than resetting to a browser guess. Resolution runs in order: profile platform language, sub account settings, local storage, browser language, then United States English. Google Sign In buttons match the selection.
Notifications and email templates are localized too, covering subject lines, body copy, headers, and buttons, with English as a safe fallback. Locale is resolved after the recipient is identified, which fixes multi recipient notifications that previously arrived in English or incomplete. Agencies serving non English markets can hand clients a platform that speaks their language from the login screen onward.
Media, Voice AI, and Chat Widget Upgrades
Uploaded videos now generate a thumbnail and short preview automatically, with hover playback and full viewing from the three dot menu. Older assets build a thumbnail the first time their preview opens. Finding a clip no longer means pasting URLs into new tabs.
The Voice AI prompt editor gained undo and redo through toolbar buttons and standard keyboard shortcuts, on a refreshed toolbar that also holds custom value and evaluate actions. Editing a live agent prompt without a safety net was a genuine risk, and the voice AI toolset keeps expanding. The chat widget can also mark custom contact fields as required, blocking submission until they are filled, including when an agent requests details mid conversation.
Smaller Improvements Worth Noting
- Brand Boards public API makes brand assets reachable programmatically.
- Email fixes: workflow email statistics default to the last 30 days, bulk actions gained a load more stats route, and an Outlook compatibility layer corrects link colors, spacing, buttons, and footers.
- Wider custom value picker in If and Else conditions for numeric, date, dropdown, and monetary fields, plus the update contact field action.
- SaaS plan sync: deleting a version two plan from the agency sub account now removes the matching Configurator product, keeping the 20 plan limit accurate.
- Payment link reuse: generating a link for a SaaS product returns the existing one instead of creating duplicates.
- Contacts cleanup: Manage Smart Lists and Restore moved to the actions menu beside Add Contact.
- Bulk opportunity delete and restore is live in Labs with typed confirmation, progress tracking, and a two month recovery window.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do existing Shopify abandoned cart workflows break?
No. Both older Shopify triggers now carry a deprecating soon label but continue to run for existing users and workflows. Build anything new on the unified Ecommerce Stores triggers, which cover native stores and external sources through the same order source setting.
Does passing the AI compliance review guarantee A2P approval?
No. The review checks common rejection causes in your opt in form, privacy policy, and terms of service, and you can still submit with items flagged. Final decisions rest with carriers and depend on campaign use case, content, and each carrier's own policies.
Which plan do these features require?
Most of the week's releases sit in standard sub account tooling, while Labs items must be enabled by the agency. Check current plan and pricing details or our beta watch page for what is still rolling out.
