HighLevel Updates: New Features for March 23-27, 2026

Conversation AI now answers email, WhatsApp gains Meta's Marketing Messages API, and workflows get keyboard shortcuts in HighLevel.

The last full week of March 2026 delivered one of HighLevel's densest release batches this quarter. Conversation AI learned to answer email, WhatsApp marketing moved to Meta's next-generation delivery system, and the workflow builder gained keyboard shortcuts and meeting integrations. This roundup covers everything shipped between March 23 and 27, 2026, and is part of our full March 2026 HighLevel updates recap.

Conversation AI Answers Email and Books Service Appointments

Conversation AI now supports email as a full channel alongside SMS, WhatsApp, Instagram, and live chat. Setup covers sender details, CC and BCC recipients, personalized greetings, and an optional response delay of up to 12 hours. Replies can go out as plain text or in a branded HTML template, keep proper threading and subject lines, and match the inbound language, with workflow triggers and human handover working just like chat. Email leads now get the same instant automated handling that text leads already receive.

Through a Labs toggle, prompt-based bots can also book service appointments conversationally on SMS, live chat, Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. The AI handles multiple services, staff and location selection, and add-ons, remembers details when conversations wander, asks clarifying questions, and previews the booking before confirming, with rescheduling and canceling supported too. Replacing forms with chat cuts booking drop-off for service businesses. Separately, Voice AI added a voice-driven onboarding flow where new users create a personalized agent just by speaking to it. Our HighLevel AI guide explains how these agent features fit together.

WhatsApp Moves to Meta's Marketing Messages API

Sub-accounts can now activate Meta's Marketing Messages API for WhatsApp campaigns. Unlike the older Cloud API, it applies quality-based delivery optimization that Meta's testing across more than 12 million messages showed can lift delivery rates up to 9 percent. It also adds animated GIF template headers, Android app deep links, tailored recommendations, and a pilot for automatic creative enhancements. Existing numbers, templates, workflows, and campaigns carry over unchanged, and activation takes a few clicks in the sub-account WhatsApp settings. Since Meta ships new marketing capabilities only on this endpoint, agencies running WhatsApp campaigns in HighLevel get better deliverability now and a future-proof foundation. See our WhatsApp marketing guide for setup details.

Workflow Builder: Shortcuts, Math Outputs, and Meeting Data

The standard workflow builder now has keyboard shortcuts grouped into five areas. You can copy, paste, and move nodes, select everything downstream, zoom, open the trigger and action panels, and save without touching the mouse, which removes a lot of repetitive clicking on large builds.

Math Operations now stores each result as an output variable that later actions can reference directly, including inside another Math Operation, so results no longer need to be parked in a custom field, simplifying lead scores, payment splits, and date math.

New Fathom triggers and actions bring meeting data into automations: a workflow can fire when a recording is processed, then fetch the transcript or AI summary to drive personalized follow-up emails or ClickUp task creation. Supported actions like SMS, MMS, voicemail, and chat can also attach files straight from Media Storage, so one approved asset serves dozens of actions without re-uploads. The email action does not support this yet.

Agent Studio: Actions Platform, Copy and Paste, and cURL Import

Agent Studio gained an Actions Platform with ten white-label friendly actions: sending SMS and templated emails, tagging contacts, creating tags, custom fields, and custom values, sending internal notifications, and generating blog and Facebook post content. Actions work with agentic and sequential nodes and respond to triggers like form submissions and tag changes, so agents move beyond answering and start executing follow-up work inside the CRM.

The graph builder now supports copy and paste with standard shortcuts, including multi-node selection, cross-tab pasting, automatic reconnection of edges, fresh IDs, and bulk delete. The API Call tool accepts a pasted cURL command and auto-fills the method, URL, headers, and body, with two-way sync back to cURL. Both changes sharply reduce agent build time.

Opportunities: Dedicated Tab, Stage Colors, and Advanced Filters

Contact records now show opportunities in a dedicated tab on the right panel, decoupled from associations. They stay reachable from the actions menu during a transition period, but on April 8, 2026 the right panel becomes the only home. Admin-controlled contact page customization is in development.

The pipeline dropdown adds shortcuts to create or edit pipelines, and stages can carry custom colors as a dot or background tint for faster board scanning. A redesigned advanced filter experience in Labs brings grouped fields, a stage filter, new date operators like "in the next" and "in the last," relative time ranges, and nested logic, all usable in Smart Tags.

Payments Arrive in the Mobile App

The mobile app now includes a Payments tab inside contact and opportunity records. From a contact you can charge a card in person, create invoices and estimates, manage cards on file, and see customer lifetime value; invoices and estimates created from an opportunity link to the deal automatically. Cards can be saved to a contact, removed with a swipe, and used on future transactions. Field teams can quote, charge, and collect on site without a laptop.

Branding and Analytics Get Smarter

Brand Boards can generate a complete design kit from a website URL, automatically extracting colors, fonts, and logo styles, turning client onboarding into a paste-and-import step. Saved brand colors now appear directly in the color picker for forms, surveys, and quizzes, and those builders adopted the global media picker for reusing Media Storage assets in images, rich text, quiz results, and QR codes. Site analytics added average time spent, session counts, and step-level drill-down for funnels, websites, and webinars, with persistent filters and noise-filtered data that make drop-off diagnosis more reliable.

Smaller Improvements Worth Noting

  • Reputation: Review requests are now searchable by contact name, email, or phone, with filters for channel and delivery status.
  • Phone system: Rejected A2P campaigns show the carrier error code, rejection category, an explanation, and the exact correction needed.
  • Calendars: A new "Ask the Booker" location type lets customers enter their own service address during booking, and the Service Location public API is live.
  • Communities: Members can leave groups on their own with admins notified, and the Skool importer now merges multiple groups and preserves exact post timestamps.
  • Google Business Profile: Pages can be searched by store code, postal code, or locality, helping franchises with identically named locations.
  • App Marketplace: Listings with five or more reviews show an AI-generated summary with a recommendation percentage, pros, and cons.
  • Ask AI: A redesigned interface adds suggested prompts, and the conversation ID in the URL preserves chat state across navigation.
  • Desktop apps: HighLevel and LeadConnector desktop apps now run on Linux, with Debian and Red Hat builds for x64 and arm64.
  • Plans and platform: Agency sub-account management arrives on the $297 Unlimited plan, plus forms multi-embed stability, UTM tracking, and WordPress fixes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which inboxes work with the new Conversation AI email channel?

Any connected and active inbox qualifies, including Gmail, Outlook, LC Email, and custom IMAP or SMTP. One active inbox must be connected first; the bot then replies to all inbound email with full threading and history.

Do I have to rebuild WhatsApp templates for the Marketing Messages API?

No. Existing numbers, templates, workflows, and campaigns keep running unchanged. A banner in each sub-account's WhatsApp settings walks through enabling MM Lite and confirming the access request.

When does the opportunities tab change become permanent?

Opportunities currently appear in both the actions menu and the new right-panel tab. On April 8, 2026 the actions menu entry goes away and the right panel becomes the only location.
